For those that don’t know how we came about and what we really stand for…
“…As one individual, the struggle to make sense of it all remains constant. As one individual, the effort to succeed becomes extremely difficult. As one individual, an experience is merely a memory if no one knows your story. Hence, the only individual within 5 Star Army is the collaborative whole.
5 Star Army represents an idea. The idea of “anything and everything.” This idea adopted by one and shared by another soon lead to something bigger. The story of the brand literally begins in the streets of Los Angeles. Representing a group of car enthusiasts stretching from Hollywood, Long Beach and Pomona, 5 Star Army as a car crew quickly flourished to be known amongst the crowds. But even then, we stayed humble and kept to our own. Respect for other crews lead to our own respect. Members came and went, but still 5 Star Army was represented. From that, a few original members remain only to be known by the badges on their cars. The experiences attained from each our individual lives lead to an accumulation of our own unique ideas. Ideas that needed to be debated upon. Gazed upon. And ultimately spread to others. Knowledge of what we, the collaborative whole of 5 Star Army, believe to be the truth in the world through design. 5 Star Army Clothing soon came about with that very generic idea from not so generic roots. The idea of anything and everything is the essential element in our designs. From that, we try our hardest to not only thrive and flourish, but to live and live well.
I take no claim in being the founder because to be the founder means to have followers. To be a follower means to be on a level below. To be on a level below causes instability. Instability leads to a collapse. This collapse leads to unshared ideas that could possibly create change. To be 5 Star, a persons’ ideas, personality and experiences are shared and never dismissed. 5 Star Army stands for equality amongst our people first. We are diplomats represented by the struggle to get by in an unforgiving world, and we agree that a whole makes a bigger impact then an individual…”
