Today we were able to stop by Futura’s art show Strategic Synchronicity. Dopest work ive seen in a while. You are able to see the dedication in every piece. I was sad I wasnt able to take any home due to the fact that pricing was $1500+ for some. We went on the last day, not as many people in fact there were only like 5-10 people coming in and out throughout the time we were there, but in my opinion very dope because we were able to chill and appreciate the pieces rather than being bombarded with people and photographers around you. Here’s some info and some pics….
PLEASE SCOPE OUT WWW.GRAFFHEAD.COM FOR PICS FROM VIP NIGHT…

“Strategic Synchronicity is the first collaboration between abstract graffiti pioneer FUTURA and art showmen KRUNK.
FUTURA made his name on the New York subway when he was still a teenager, before becoming a key artist in the East Village gallery scene of the early 1980’s alongside Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
After putting on worldwide solo shows for two decades and becoming one of the most influencial figures in the urban are world, FUTURA retired from public life. Until now.
Open September 19-21, Strategic Synchronicity Displays his most considered word to date – a triumph of what he describes as ‘controlled spontaneity’.
Referencing his involvement with the intertwined music, art and media scens of the 1980’s, the show uses theatrical settings, specially-devised soundtracks and documentary footage to create the perfect backdrop to his new work.
“I consider it my best work. When I started on it, I could feel myself about to explode: it reflects my growth and evolution. I want this work considered on its merits… and in that sense I’m going right back to the beginning of the story”. FUTURA *****Info from Attending Art shows pamphlet

He even did some ambiance work on the surrounding walls.
